HOW A SPRING OF AWAKENING BEGAN
Knocking on Every Door
After Universal Door Meditation Center was established, Awakened One Thích Diệu Thiện and Awakened One Thích Thông Hội continued carrying their Great Vow throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. They traveled from home to home, reaching out to individuals and families and opening the Path of Awakening and Liberation to all who were ready to receive it. Through their boundless compassion and endless skillful means, the Awakened Ones helped many people look deeply within, recognize the illusion of the conditioned mind, and rediscover the clear, awakened nature that had always been present.
As more people connected with the Awakened Light, students from cities across Texas longed to live closer to the Awakened Ones and practice under their guidance each week. Their sincere aspiration gradually brought together a growing community of practitioners and families, creating the conditions for a second meditation center, a place where even more people could awaken to their True Mind and return to their Original Awakened Source.
Awakening Every Heart
In 2013, when the conditions had fully ripened, the Awakened Ones discovered a beautiful forest hidden within the busy city of Euless. The land was filled with tall, mature trees, winding trails, natural hills, and a large pond. Historic stone buildings, constructed from rocks found on the property, had stood there for nearly a century. Surrounded by nature yet accessible to people throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area, the land offered an extraordinary setting for an Awakened monastery.
With the sincere support of students, families, and monastics, this forest became Suối Từ Meditation Center
Suối Từ—the Stream of Compassion—began to flow from this sacred forest, carrying the Great Vow of the Awakened Ones to awaken every heart and guide all beings home to their Original Awakened Source.
In 2013, Suối Từ Meditation Center was born.

Building the Land,
Awakening the True Mind
Many people felt a deep connection with the Awakened Ones, which helped awaken their True Self and brought profound transformation to their families. Inspired by this awakening, families and monastics came together to develop the land, designing the landscape, building bamboo walls, shaping waterfalls and stone gardens, creating ponds, and caring for the natural surroundings. Although these activities may have appeared to be ordinary outdoor work, each became an “Awakened Game.” While working, participants encountered inner voices, expectations, emotions, and attachments. In those very moments, they were given opportunities to face themselves and directly realize what illusion was and what was real. Through physical work and deep contemplation, many experienced a profound merging with the Awakened Source.
Transforming the Landscape,
Returning Home
Embodying the Five Awakened Natures, the two Awakened Ones continually created skillful and imaginative ways for people to awaken through everyday activities. Under their guidance, the forested land was gradually transformed into Suối Từ—a beautiful place of return surrounded by nature in the heart of Euless, within the busy Dallas–Fort Worth area. Waterfalls, ponds, bamboo pathways, stone gardens, and quiet contemplative spaces emerged throughout the grounds, offering visitors places to pause, look deeply, and return to their True Mind. As the landscape took shape, an inner landscape was also transformed: attachments were revealed, illusions fell away, and more people awakened to the truth of who they truly are.

MEDITATION CENTER TODAY
As more people come to recognize the Path of Awakening as the way back to the Ultimate Truth, a growing number are finding their way to Suối Từ to learn, practice, and return to their Awakened Source.
To support this growing aspiration, Suối Từ has acquired an additional two acres of adjoining land for future development. Plans include a new meditation hall, expanded parking, a dining area, and welcoming spaces for rest and gathering—allowing Suối Từ to open its doors to many more people seeking the path of Awakening and liberation.
